ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:

The Astral Planner is seeking a highly creative, organized, and results-driven Social Media Marketing Intern with strong analytical skills to support our growing brand. This internship is ideal for highly motivated college students or recent graduates who want to deepen their experience in digital content strategy, brand storytelling, and social media marketing. This internship offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience, integrate classroom knowledge into real-world projects, and build a strong professional foundation in marketing, analytics, and brand communication in a professional, creative, and remote environment.

ELIGIBILITY AND TIME COMMITMENT:

This remote internship spans 3-4 months and requires 5-20 hours per week, with flexibility based on the intern's academic schedule and company’s workload. It is open to US-based college students and recent graduates majoring in marketing, communications, creative advertising, social media, or related fields. Applicants must be available for the full duration of the internship.

INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE (SUMMER 2025):

  • Internship Start Date: June 2 

  • Internship Completion: August 29

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Social Media Marketing Intern at The Astral Planner, you will:

  • Maintain a steady rhythm of communication and engagement on The Astral Planner social media channels including (but not limited to) Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest ensuring a consistent and thoughtful brand presence.

  • Play a key role in growing and cultivating a thoughtful, values-aligned online community around our brand by performing daily community outreach on our priority channels, identifying engagement opportunities, and contributing to follower growth through consistent and strategic interaction.

  • Conduct influencer and market research to maintain a dynamic list of aligned influencers, media outlets, thought leaders, and potential collaborators to follow and engage with on behalf of The Astral Planner.

  • Work closely with the Founder and support public relations efforts for new product launches, media press kits, and campaign collaborations.

  • Analyze industry and platform trends to provide insights and recommendations for social and marketing strategies.

  • Chicago based candidates may have an additional opportunity to assist on on-location photoshoots, industry events, and markets to curate and create content for our brand. (Optional)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional tone and attention to proper grammar and spelling.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, and familiarity with social media scheduling or analytics tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite).

  • A strong visual eye and understanding of luxury branding, especially in the e-commerce or stationery space.

  • Highly organized, reliable, self-directed and ability to work independently with excellent time management and follow-through on tasks.

  • Enthusiasm for creativity, conscious living, and topics like astrology, numerology, or spirituality (preferred but not required).

This is an unpaid internship. However, we are happy to support academic credit for this internship. Students are responsible for coordinating with their academic advisor or department to meet their school’s requirements.
